 As a Solutions Engineer, you will: 
     Align solutions to the customer's goals, needs and objectives Provide consultation and training to customers and team membersInterpret specifications and build solutions to those specificationsDevelop hardware/software solutions in a logical, creative, and structured manner that will help customers solve problemsCollaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to identify compelling solutionsInteract with customers to execute the technical aspects of the strategyWork efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completionExercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practicesDeliver right-sized technology solutions/services within the allocated budgetProvide technical supportDevelop technical documentationStay current on latest technologies and methodsRegularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partnersSupport development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentationsComply with all KCI policies and proceduresComplete other duties as required/assignedQualifications
 
 Education, Skills and/or experiences required:  
     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field is required. Minimum three years of experience as a Solutions Analyst or similar roleDemonstrated experience to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems Ability to develop and maintain deep knowledge of customers, data, business, and marketsDemonstrated ability to communicate well with colleagues and customers, both written and oralPre-employment drug screening and background check is a condition of employment. motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Education, Skills and/or experiences preferred: 
     Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets Familiarity with software development and systems engineeringKnowledgeable of APIs, distributed backend systems, dimensional data modeling, SQL queries and schema designExperience with cloud technologiesUnderstanding of prompt engineering, context window management, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniquesPractical knowledge of Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API, or other cloud-hosted LLM platformsKnowledge designing, fine-tuning, and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Llama for enterprise or research applications.Practical knowledge of Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API, or other cloud-hosted LLM platformsExperience implementing, configuring, and maintaining ArcGIS Enterprise; skilled in using Esri technologies for map creation, spatial analysis, and web application configuration; proficient in building web apps and pages with ArcGIS Experience Builder; and familiar with Microsoft Power Automate for process automation. |
