Job Objective:
Monitor, maintain, and operate a CO2 Treating Facility in a sound, safe, and environmentally prudent manner.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment for safety problems, leaks, or wear and tear, and make or recommend appropriate repairs.
- Good working knowledge of process equipment including compressors, filter separators, pumps, fans, instrumentation, etc.
- Able to do light maintenance work; change process filters, grease and oil equipment, replace fan belts, operate manual valves and general equipment upkeep as needed.
- Review prior shift's logs to check for accuracy and follow through with any necessary tasks.
- Conduct weekly chemical inventory including lab chemicals and bulk tank storage.
- Monitors and maintains process readings on daily log sheets, inside and outside readings of entire plant.
- Able to work alone; acknowledging, responding to, and initiate corrections/action to process alarms.
- Drain or recover fluids from containments to prevent spills.
- Monitors and maintains security of plant entrances by checking the identification and recording names of visitors.
- Conducts and/or coordinates ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping of the plant.
- Procures necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks.
- Perform lab tests associated with steam/water and amine systems, document results, and effectively communicate adjustments made.
- Monitors and reads gauges to verify sufficient levels of fluids, pressures, and temperatures.
- Assist in investigating faulty machinery/mechanical equipment, refer to equipment manuals, and makes appropriate work orders in the maintenance management system when necessary.
- Participates in employee training program with the expectation to become Board Operator certified.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Complete additional training to become a Board-Certified Operator.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of plant operating experience.
- Certified as a gas plant operator preferred.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, days and nights
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Ability to accurately troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
