Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of UC San Diego Health, the Senior Director, Supply Chain Services provides strategic planning, direction and leadership for Supply Chain Management operations, which includes Procurement Services (Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing), Supply Chain Operations (Receiving, Distribution, Logistics, Equipment Management, Mail Services), Procure-to-Pay Systems (ERP, Customer Service, Mobile Technology, Data and Analytics, Accounts Payable), and Managed Services (Contract Labor, Vendor Managed Programs, Lean Projects). The Senior Director will monitor, control and direct supply chain operations including budget planning, value analysis, reporting, technology planning, demand forecasting, and expense monitoring to meet organization, strategic, financial, quality, and operational goals. Integrates all aspects of the supply chain management process throughout UC San Diego Health, with overall accountability for centralized procurement, contract negotiation and management, inventory management, receiving, storage, distribution, PAR stock replenishment and asset management for all supplies, services, and equipment utilized by UC San Diego Health. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement innovative solutions. Provides leadership in meeting Operational Effectiveness and financial objectives as related to non-labor supplies and services expense. Leads development of system wide processes designed to optimize utilization of supplies and services and expand the standardization and control of supplies and inventories to maximize and contribute to quality-oriented, cost-effective operations. Responsible for monitoring total supplies and service costs, preparing variance analyses and providing recommendations for improvement in order to achieve financial outcomes, targets and goals for system-wide efficiency and financial viability. Provides leadership and direction over all supply chain activities, and effectively collaborates and maintains strong working relationships with faculty, senior leadership, clinicians, management, staff, suppliers, and other external contacts. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $168,800 - $341,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $80.84 - $163.41 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
