As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Poughkeepsie, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a bustling retail or mall location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the premises and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related issues.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, facility issues, or suspicious persons, to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or local authorities as required.
• Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information about the location, offering assistance to enhance their experience.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and the client's staff to support security-related operations and contribute to a welcoming environment at the retail or mall site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
