Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Walworth, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing courteous customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain an orderly flow of personnel and visitors within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to support security-related operations and help to deter suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills to support the resolution of issues as they arise.
• Document and report all incidents, irregularities, and suspicious behaviors according to Allied Universal and client-specific protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and visitors to provide assistance and information regarding access control procedures and general inquiries.
• Remain alert to any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the food and beverage production environment and communicate observations to the necessary parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience in access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
