Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in New London, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with the public through exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, adapting to various working environments and conditions specific to the government location.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining an alert and visible presence throughout assigned areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report any unusual observations or activities according to company and client protocols.
• Support Allied Universal in upholding client expectations regarding site security-related operations and procedures.
• Document and communicate incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with site and company requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
