Security Officer - CRE Customer Service Patrol

As a Security Officer - CRE Customer Service Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations as needed. You will engage with tenants and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the commercial real estate environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to maintain order and report any unusual conditions or occurrences.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and/or incidents as required by Allied Universal and the location.
• Communicate and cooperate with property management, tenants, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
• Follow all instructions from Allied Universal supervisors and adhere to company and location policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
