Job Description
This role involves manual labor related to the daily cleaning of buildings. Employees in this position work under direct supervision and carry out various tasks that require moderate physical strength, such as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, high dusting, vacuuming, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas.
- Perform basic floor care, including dust mopping, sweeping, and wet mopping of floors.
- Spray-buff floors, which may involve some use of power equipment.
- Vacuum and spot clean rugs and carpets.
- Scrub and clean restroom fixtures. Stock restrooms with towels, soap, and other supplies.
- Dust and clean walls, doors, blinds, and windows, as well as woodwork and other above-floor surfaces.
- Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean elevators and stairwells.
- Maintain the exterior of the building; sweep and remove debris from outdoor areas and walkways.
- Empty trash receptacles inside and outside the building, as well as recycling containers.
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of work.
