Description
We're looking for a Production Supervisor at Grand Rapids Wood Plant and Kentwood West Plant with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, people management, and continuous improvement. If you bring a hands-on approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead teams through change, we'd love to connect.

Supporting Meaningful Work
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a leadership rotational program
  • Manage a production division from raw steel to finished product, ensuring schedules are met
  • Lead and develop a team of 20-30 hourly employees, focusing on performance, training, and development
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to control costs and meet corporate goals
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations
  • Drive quality improvements and customer satisfaction
  • Provide coverage for Operations Managers and lead special projects as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to move between manufacturing areas based on business needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or military equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of proven leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards
  • Flexibility to provide support on 2nd Shift
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with engineering methods and capacity analysis
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Ability to adapt quickly and lead through change
  • Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure
