Helping Our People Thrive Wellbeing ensures our employees feel seen, heard and valued Steelcase offers competitive wages and benefits to support your life in and out of work Learning is the foundation of everything we do, and there is no shortage of development opportunities to grow and upskill Culture is a lifestyle at Steelcase and we live it every day Opportunity to make an impact on the world through Steelcase's commitment to people and planet Supporting Meaningful Work Primary Responsibilities: Participate in a leadership rotational program Manage a production division from raw steel to finished product, ensuring schedules are met Lead and develop a team of 20-30 hourly employees, focusing on performance, training, and development Collaborate with Operations Managers to control costs and meet corporate goals Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations Drive quality improvements and customer satisfaction Provide coverage for Operations Managers and lead special projects as needed Maintain flexibility to move between manufacturing areas based on business needs Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or military equivalent experience 3-5 years of proven leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards Flexibility to provide support on 2nd Shift Desired Skills and Experience Experience leading cross-functional projects Familiarity with engineering methods and capacity analysis Lean manufacturing Ability to adapt quickly and lead through change Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure Doing Better for People and Planet Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
