Job Summary

Uses marketing concepts in performing non-complex responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans, drafting promotional or marketing materials, working on marketing events, conducting basic market research, etc.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be a crucial part in generating student leads and supporting inquiries to lead students to application. Reporting to the Manager of Recruitment & Outreach, the Coordinator will support marketing and recruitment campaigns to prospects and inquiring applicants for all our academic programs.
In collaboration with the Manager, the Coordinator may be asked to:

  • Schedule and coordinate info sessions, in-person networking opportunities, or other events supporting recruitment
  • Manage and execute drip campaigns
  • Create digital and print materials and content in support of recruitment
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns
  • Optimize and run social media content and campaigns
  • Coordinate special projects
  • Coordinate and handle inquiry intake forms and answers with Student Affairs and other stakeholders
A successful Coordinator will:
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to collaborate with Communications, and Program and Student Affairs faculty and staff, and to speak directly with prospective students
  • Utilize marketing expertise to enhance our digital recruitment efforts
  • Maintain fine attention to detail while aligning with the goals of the unit and the enrollment aims
  • Be a storyteller who can connect the prospective student experience with the right message at the right time for their journey
Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $55,700 - $118,500 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

A vital part of a world-renowned health sciences campus, the UCSF School of Nursing fosters excellence, opportunity, and innovation in everything it does. Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience
  • Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
  • Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices.
  • Organizational skills and skills in file creation, maintenance and management.
  • Written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the professional use of social media and other electronic media
  • Demonstrated public speaking and presentations to individuals and groups
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people representing diverse cultures, ethnic groups, lifestyles, socio-economic strata and backgrounds
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, writing, and editing
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications


  • Two years of experience in recruitment, outreach, sales, and/or marketing
  • Solid knowledge of institutional products and services.
  • Knowledge of the campus and / or medical center including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards / procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing marketing or promotional materials
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advertising platforms (Google, social, etc.) and a strong understanding of current and emerging marketing trends and technologies
  • Experience with case management or tracking systems like SLATE
  • Familiarity with health care, the nursing profession and current trends
  • Knowledge of UC policies and procedures

License/Certification


  • Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
