Overview

Under general direction of either the Project Specialist or Section Manager, the position is responsible for working with the business areas, New Customer Service System (CSS) team resources and contractors to identify, document and test requirements for functional changes and enhancements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys thinking creatively to improve systems and processes. You will support the operational integrity of our systems, analyze performance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Dedicated to documenting operational procedures to maintain alignment between systems and business processes, supporting the development and execution of process improvements and automation initiatives to drive efficiency
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable tasks that drive operational effectiveness within Oracle CC&B and associated applications.
  • Works closely with Project Specialist and Section Manager to develop specifications and benefit analysis for necessary system changes and enhancements in business processes. This role requires a proactive approach to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that all modifications align with organizational goals and deliver measurable benefits.
  • Assist with overseeing the testing and approval process for completed CC&B changes and enhancements. This includes direct involvement or coordination with assigned resources to ensure thorough testing and successful sign-off upon turnover.
  • Assist with maintaining comprehensive system documentation related to training, change requests, testing, SOX compliance, and departmental procedures. This role ensures that all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible, supporting the organization's operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Effectively collaborate with business contractors and partners to support and enhance the applications within the Department portfolio. Demonstrate a keen understanding of when to share information and when to protect proprietary company data, ensuring that sensitive information is handled appropriately and securely.
  • Ensure that all user provisioning activities comply with company policies and security standards.
  • Effective Communication, ensure accurate, concise, clear, and timely transfer of information. This includes both written and verbal communication, ensuring that all messages are easily understood by the intended audience.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of Energy Supply Company (ESCO) related customer data. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data to drive informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Proactively requests and analyzes data to support sound business decisions. This role involves identifying key data points, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree 2 years or related work experience or
  • Associate's Degree 4 years of related work experience or
  • High School Diploma/GED 5 years of related work experience
Relevant Work Experience
  • Related work experience must include experience in at least one of the following functional areas: Customer Operations, Support Operations, Customer Meter Operations, Regulatory/Compliance, or a related organization. Required
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Required
  • Must be proficient in Windows environments and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Required
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of database concepts, technical system attributes, and architecture. Required
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Required
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights that drive business growth. Required
  • Experienced professional with a background in the utility industry and specialized expertise within the Energy Service Company (ESCO) sector. Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Must be willing to provide off hours support.
