Department OverviewThe Critical Communications Networks (CCN) Hardware PM team is a group within the Critical Communications Solutions organization of Motorola Solutions (MSI). The Hardware PM team collaborates closely with the CCN Hardware Engineering team to develop and maintain sophisticated and highly reliable communications, infrastructure and networking products for Mission Critical and commercial communication products across a variety of global markets and standards. This Program Manager position is critical to maintaining product continuity and requires a blend of technical acumen, project management discipline, and supply chain awareness to keep our products shipping and our customers satisfied.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering projects focused on modifying existing RF Site hardware to address supply chain disruptions, component end-of-life (EOL), and regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and several other cross-functional teams to drive resolutions for quality, component, and production issues affecting current shipping products.

  • Serve as the primary interface with the supply chain organization to manage part changes, coordinate prototype factory builds, and seamlessly introduce revised designs into production.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using standard PM tools (schedules, critical path analysis, budgets, risk assessments)

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Motorola's high-quality standards.

  • Proactively identify project risks and implement robust mitigation plans to ensure program goals are achieved.

  • Produce and present accurate, timely program status reports to stakeholders across all organizational levels, from the core team to senior leadership.

  • Interface effectively with international engineering and manufacturing teams to coordinate deliverables. Flexibility for periodic early morning or evening conference calls is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical or logistical issues

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical teams, suppliers, and senior leadership

    Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in engineering, managing component end-of-life (EOL) projects, or lifecycle management

  • Familiarity with two-way radio infrastructure, RF hardware, or related communications products

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

  • Experience working closely with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing organizations

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Target Base Salary Range: $86,500 - $173,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 4+ years of experience in program management, project management, or hardware engineering in a high-technology environment
