Could you be the full-time onsite LAX APM OMJV General Manager in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and strategic management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of a large Service Delivery Center (SDC), acting as the primary representative to the customer and community. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including operations, maintenance, and safety teams), develop and execute engagement strategies, and foster a culture of safety and excellence, and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Communicating strategic and functional visions to all SDC employees through managers and ensuring execution alignment. ,



  • Developing and cascading engagement strategies to SDC employees and fostering a culture of collaboration. ,



  • Challenging individuals to develop skills outside of their comfort zone and identifying successors for key roles. ,



  • Leading by example and ensuring managers create, foster, and encourage a true safety culture. ,



  • Developing "win-win" strategies with customers and driving budget management to the lowest level of the SDC. ,



  • Serving as a source of professional advice for solving significant customer problems and initiating value-added commercial propositions. ,



  • Leading multi-skilled and cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems. ,



  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to express a compelling vision. ,



  • Influencing and obtaining buy-in for specific courses of action and adapting based on input from others. ,



  • Removing roadblocks and resolving problems, from minor to the most complex situations.




All about you

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred). ,



  • 10+ years of progressive experience in daily maintenance and capital replacement activities for operating rail or transit systems of comparable scope and complexity, including automated people mover operating systems, vehicles, stations, and maintenance and storage (e.g., 44 cars, 48 switches, 112 station doors, 2.25-mile elevated guideway, 6 terminal stations, 75 employees). ,



  • 7+ years of experience in a management/leadership position with profit and loss responsibility. ,



  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills in English. ,



  • Experience in the transportation business or a similar organizational structure. ,



  • A high level of leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple functions and disciplines. ,



  • An understanding of team engagement and the ability to maximize team motivation. ,



  • The ability to remove roadblocks and resolve problems, from minor to the most complex situations. ,



  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to express a compelling vision. ,



  • The ability to influence and obtain buy-in for specific courses of action and adapt based on input from others.
