About This Role

Responsible for providing psychiatric care to KSU students. Practitioner is expected to work independently in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act established treatment protocols, and Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.

This position is responsible for providing psychiatric care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues.

Plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on normal/abnormal findings using assessment skills and existing protocols.

Assess the need for consultation and collaboration with other team members (i.e. medical providers and/or CAPS clinicians). Refer patients to appropriate campus/community resources.

Serves as a mental health consultant to other medical providers and clinicians within the organization.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:




  • Requires a current Kansas license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN). Graduation from a nursing education program approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing with one year of relevant experience as an APRN is required. Requires the following credentials: national certification as an APRN and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate.




Preferred licenses / registrations / certifications:



  • National Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse; DEA certificate

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
