Job Title:Senior People Analyst Location:Metairie, LA Job Overview:The Senior People Analyst supports HRIS operation, people analytics, and compensation functions by driving data accuracy, process efficiency, and system optimization across the organization's HR department. This role helps shape the organization's people strategy and drives HR operational excellence by translating workforce data into actionable insights and streamlining HR systems and processes for maximum effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and audit the collection of data related to core HR programs and processes across the employee lifecycle-including onboarding, job changes, compensation actions, performance reviews, and separations.
- Build, maintain, and analyze HR reports, metrics, and dashboards to provide timely insights for leadership.
- Maintain HR data standards, governance rules, and validation procedures to ensure the integrity, availability, security, and usability of employee and organizational data.
- Develop and maintain data models for turnover, talent acquisition, performance, compensation, retention, and workforce planning to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
- Create data visualizations, storytelling decksand decision recommendations to communicate insights and decision points to leadership.
- Translatebusiness questions into data-driven insights and develop recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
- Compile compliance reports for EEO-1, VETS, Pay Equity Analysis, OFCCP, and other industry specific report requirements.
- Document HR process workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support HRIS operation, system testing, configuration, and end-user training.
- Troubleshoot system and process issues and coordinate with HR, IT, and vendorson resolution.
- Champion HR technology and analytics adoption by managing system enhancements, guiding change management, and equipping HR and leadership teams with data-driven solutions.
- Manage job architecture and market benchmarking, including job analysis, evaluation, and compensation structure maintenance.
- Conduct compensation research and provide analytical support for pay decisions, adjustments, and policy alignment.
- Build and maintain compensation models for scenario planning, structure updates, and cost analysis.
- Perform ad hoc compensation analyses to assess retention risks, internal equity, pay compression, and competitiveness.
- Administer and monitor supplemental compensation programs such as differentials, stipends, tuition reimbursement, PTO policies, salary continuation, etc.
- Ensure that HR practices, programs, and procedures comply with company policy and government legislation.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in HR analytics, HRIS, or business analysis roles (experience in manufacturing or multi-site organizations a plus).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar) and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, data governance, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner across HR, IT, and Finance.
- Experience supporting compensation processes or workforce planning initiatives preferred.
- Advanced computer skills in addition to knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Professional designation (i.e. PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
