The Role

The Benefits Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the design, implementation, and communication of benefits and well-being programs that help employees thrive. Reporting to the Senior Director of Benefits, this internship provides an opportunity to contribute to real projects, collaborate across HR functions, and gain visibility with senior leadership. You'll learn how benefits strategy supports employee engagement and organizational success-an excellent foundation for a future career in HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, or People Operations.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Benefits Administration Support - 40%



  • Assist in the review, documentation, and maintenance of employee benefit programs (health, retirement, wellness, leave management).
  • Help coordinate well-being activities, employee communications, and vendor data audits.
  • Research best practices and benchmark trends in employee benefits to support recommendations and program enhancements.
  • Respond to help desk tickets from employees on benefits.


Projects and Process Improvement - 35%



  • Participate in benefits-related projects, such as policy updates, technology rollouts, or vendor transitions.
  • Support project planning through documentation, meeting coordination, and milestone tracking.
  • Identify process efficiencies and assist with developing tools or templates to streamline


Employee Experience and Communication - 15%



  • Contribute creative ideas to improve employee awareness and engagement around health and wellness initiatives.


Exposure and Development - 10%



  • Attend meetings and presentations with senior HR and business leaders to gain insight into strategic decision-making.
  • Shadow benefits and HR Operations team to understand career pathways within HR.
  • Participate in intern networking, learning sessions, and mentoring opportunities.


Required qualifications for the role



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Interest in employee benefits, HR strategy, or organizational development
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

    Classification: Intern

    Compensation: $17.00-$17.95 / hour (depending on location)

    Hours: maximum 24 hours per week

    Dates: Feb 2, 2026 to April 10, 2026
