About Commercial
Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin's commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
The Marketing Consultant is a member of the Voxzogo brand team and provides input into strategic planning and is also accountable for select tactics on the team. The Marketing Consultant will partner with the marketing team members on the Voxzogo brand team and support the pull through of key tactics for HCPs and caregivers / patients. This role partners with the Voxzogo brand team to ensure that the tactical plan can be seamlessly rolled out.
Other specific functions include the following:
- Work closely with brand team members to develop and execute derivative promotional materials (e.g., panels, leave behinds, rep triggered emails)
- Partner with brand team members to provide operational support for key brand related activities including speaker programs, advisory boards, conferences and sales meetings
- Partner with agency partners to develop key marketing materials
- Serve as a conduit between marketing, sales and marketing operations to coordinate delivery of key materials
- Play a key role in supporting and leading discussions at brand team meetings regarding initiatives that require cross functional feedback
- Partner with the team to develop and shape initiatives which could help generate brand demand
- Support discussions in the annual brand planning process and ensure input in terms of potential initiatives

- This position may require travel, such as attending various brand related events including key conferences, training events, and speaker events. The marketing team is based on site on the San Rafael campus; however, marketing consultants who wish to work remotely will be considered.
Required skills and experience:
- Pharma / biotech marketing experience
- Project management
- Vendor / agency management
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to optimize messages and claims in collaboration with the promotional review team (medical, regulatory, legal)
Preferred skills and experience:
- Media strategy, channel selection, measurement and optimization
- Leading, measuring and optimizing CRM campaigns (e-mail)
- Experience leading SEM/SEO/AEO optimization
- Experience in multiple therapeutic areas, including rare disease
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree (master's or higher) preferred
Required experience:
- 5+ years experience in an in-house pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with the following programs and systems preferred: Veeva PromoMats, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, MS Teams.
- Understanding of local regulatory environment to support development of marketing materials and deliver key brand related initiatives.

In the U.S, the salary range for this position is $ 100 to $ 150 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors. The salary range for this position is: $100 to $150. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
