This Position reports to:

Workshop/Internal Logistics Manager
Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

*Acting as point of contact for customs brokers incase of clarification needs (e.g., regarding evaluation or classification of products).

* Audit customs brokers regarding the correctnessof customs entries, invoicing
*Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
*Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
*Uses various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling. Customs and trade applications.
*Prepares and updates monthly logistics schedule toensure deliveries to customer locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with project / sales team.
*Coordinates daily to track location andmovement of finished goods and raw materials via all transport modes ,re-routes freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost.
*Works closely with transport service providers andbrokers to assure efficient, cost-effective execution of business requirements, obtaining necessary transport permitsand codes, prepares transportation paperwork for import and export.
*Fulfils shipping, packing, and advises on markingprocedures per project requirements in compliance with governmental regulations.
*Data management Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data when required.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Transport or Logistics management
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with working on SAP & BOL
  • Strong knowledge of transport planning and order handling process.
  • Must be a team player, customer oriented and an ability to perform under pressure
  • Solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Microsoft office experience essential for role
