This Position reports to:

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and reinforce a quality-driven culture within our Electrification Power Protection department. You will oversee quality systems, tools, and teams to consistently fulfill customer expectations while supporting sustainable and efficient operations. You will also cover ad intermin the role of Process / Customer Quality Manager, depending on the best set-up for the team.

The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the ELSP Power Protection Agile Unit in Quartino, Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading and Coordinating Cross-Functional Quality Teams: Oversee Customer, Production, and Supplier Quality Teams through their respective managers, ensuring alignment and performance across the quality value chain.

  • Managing End-to-End Quality Processes: Manage and support customer, internal, and supplier quality processes - covering failure analysis, root cause identification, corrective actions, and audits - in collaboration with Production, Service, Sourcing, and R&D (Agile Teams).

  • Ensuring Product and Process Quality in Development: Contribute to the Product Development Process (PCP) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) validation to ensure product quality before key release gates, including prototypes and pilot phases.

  • Implementing Systems and Promoting Quality Culture: The implementation of Qwins (focus on Quality module) and promotion of a preventive quality mindset through structured tools, supplier integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the role

  • 10 years of experience in Quality Management, working as Quality Manager or equivalent to complex / power electronics products.

  • Master's degree in Power Electronics or equivalent.

  • Sound knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma methodologies, and Power Electronics,

  • UPS market.

  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, 8D management tool,

  • simulation tool (e.g. Minitab, Python, etc.).

  • Ability to work collaboratively and focus on solutions, alongside proficient writing and speaking skills.

  • communication skills.

  • Fluent in Italian, advanced level in English.
