This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead Your role and responsibilities The mission of this team is to bring modern and disruptive power electronic solutions from research into product development. We improve our products by holistic optimization, pushing forward novel converter topologies as well as optimizing key components. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid The main responsibilities include Simulating and optimizing power electronic topologies and converters for various applications. Collaboration with colleagues from business, team members and other teams, showing great team spirit and a drive to learn and grow. Designing, implementing, and testing converter prototypes in the lab. Driving innovation by developing new power electronic concepts and solutions. Qualifications for the role Hands-on laboratory skills, a willingness to work independently and take initiative in designing, building, and testing converter prototypes. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. PhD with emphasis on power electronics converter design, optimization, and converter prototyping. A strong focus on any of the following will be an advantage. Experience with designing and testing high power converters, medium voltage power electronics and/or grid connected 3-phase inverters. Good knowledge of applied control theory, with embedded hardware design and programming of FPGA (VHDL) and microcontrollers to control power converters with experimental validation of the same. Optimum design of the power stage using comprehensive optimization methods with experimental validation of the hardware.
