This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be working as Robot Programmer / Commissioning Engineer and responsible for on-site robot debugging (including robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling).

The work model for the role is: #Li_onsite

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation business for BA Function Operations, Quality & HSE division based in Pune, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Managing and monitoring projects throughout the whole execution period until FAC

  • Achieving process parameters, body quality & line cycle time for BiW lines including spot welding, sealant / dispensing, roller hemming, material handling & basic vision application

  • Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings

  • Vision system measurement and maintenance, and be able to complete a new model introduction robot simulation independently

    Familiar with mechanical principles, electrical components, and circuit diagrams

  • Managing supplier resources (robot programmers) to deliver line buy-off KPls.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical/CSE/Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation/Mechatronics) open for Diploma too.

  • A minimum Of 6-10 years Of working experience.

  • Responsible for on-site robot debugging (including robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling). Exposure of working with Automotive customers is an added advantage.

  • Experience within a similar role in the automation industry is desirable

  • Good knowledge in spot welding, MIG welding, material handling, sealing, palletizing, roller hemming applications, Robot I/O setup

  • Knowledge on DeviceNet, Ethernet, Profinet network protocol setup
