Position Summary / Department Summary:
Works closely with team members to support one or more projects, phases of a large project, or programs. Provides project management and analytics support by developing and maintaining project records (project plans, charters, decision logs, etc.) and monitoring progress against timelines. Synthesizes data and articulates findings for various audiences. Supports the training and implementation of newly established methods, processes, and tools. Tracks portfolio and project progress and escalates issues as needed to meet deadlines and goals. Embodies the Hospital's core values in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with team members, supports one or more projects/programs by organizing all project information.
  • Tracks program/project progress and updates project dashboards. Monitors, evaluates, and reports on the progress of projects. Supports projects and programs, escalating issues as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Effectively supports cross-functional meetings of all sizes to facilitate successful collaboration and build consensus with others of different skill sets, backgrounds, and levels of experience.
  • Liaises with department and other BCH staff and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of clinical concepts, terminology, workflows, preferably in pediatrics or child services.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills including an ability to understand and explain complex concepts including presentations of a body of work to key partners and stakeholders, orally, in writing and in presentations.
  • Capable of demonstrating effective professional communication skills, including diplomacy, discretion and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic setting and to apply available tools, experience and knowledge to develop and implement flexible processes and solutions for routine and ad hoc tasks.
  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to changes in schedules and priorities.
  • Ability to independently research complex issues and data and to succinctly synthesize and articulate findings for various audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills; ability to effectively manage internally in a matrixed organization and with external organizational awareness.
Education:
  • Associate's Degree
Experience:
  • One year of experience in healthcare operations, project coordination or project management.
  • Experience working in a hospital and/or healthcare management, clinical research setting.
