Description

The Department of Economics at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall of academic year 2026-27. Applicants from all fields will be considered, though the department is especially interested in applicants working in macroeconomics or industrial organization. Appointees are expected to engage in high quality research/scholarly activities, be effective teachers at the graduate and undergraduate levels, direct graduate research, and exhibit a commitment to service to the department, college, and university.

Qualifications

Applicants must have completed all the requirements for the PhD by time of appointment, or they must expect to obtain the PhD within a year of joining the faculty as Instructor.

Review of applications will begin December 1, although applications will be accepted until

December 31, 2025.

Position funding is subject to budget availability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
