V3 Sports is a nonprofit located in vibrant North Minneapolis, focused on elevating our community through wellness, fitness, and education! Thanks to our amazing partners, donors, and incredible community members, we have been making waves in Minneapolis, serving over a thousand families since 2007.

Founded as a non-profit in 2007, the mission of V3 Sports mission is to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, V3 Sports opened Phase One of the V3 Center, a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow to be a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. The focus of Phase One is to provide a place for Northside residents of all ages to access water, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation and enjoy healthy and delicious food offerings.

Phase Two, which V3 Sports is actively fundraising for, will be a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other drivers of economic stability. At the V3 Center, Northside young people and families will access programming that supports their career and economic aspirations and builds the skills they need to make their dreams reality.

Wages and Benefits

$30 - $40 per hour; Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). V3 Sports sponsors a retirement plan with a 4% employer match and immediate vesting.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with an estimated schedule of four hours per week.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical shift as V3 Sports's Aqua Aerobic Instructor provides an opportunity to create and deliver safe, effective, and inclusive workouts while fostering a positive and motivating environment, and will include the following:

• Leading fun, high-energy aqua aerobics classes that inspire participants of all fitness levels.
• Designing creative, water-based workouts that build strength, endurance, and flexibility.
• Delivering clear, motivating instruction and offering modifications to ensure everyone feels successful.
• Keeping a watchful eye on pool safety and promoting a positive, supportive environment for all.
• Setting up and caring for aquatic equipment, ensuring everything is ready for a great class experience.
• Building community in and out of the pool - encouraging members, celebrating progress, and keeping energy high.
• Tracking attendance and sharing class feedback, incidents, or maintenance needs with the Fitness Supervisor.
• Staying current with aquatic fitness trends and continuing to grow as a fitness leader.

Who You Are

• You have at least six months of experience leading water-based or group fitness classes.
• You thrive in diverse, community-focused environments and love connecting with people of all backgrounds and fitness levels.
• You're confident using aquatic fitness techniques and follow proper safety guidelines.
• You know how to motivate, energize, and engage participants in a group atmosphere.
• You communicate clearly, cue effectively, and make movement feel approachable for everyone.
• You easily adapt workouts to meet different abilities while keeping classes fun and challenging.
• You care deeply about creating great member experiences and delivering high-quality programs.
• You hold (or are willing to obtain) current CPR/AED certification.
• You have or are pursuing an aquatic fitness certification, preferably (AEA, Aqua Zumba, or similar).
• You may also have water safety or lifeguard certification - a plus but not required.
• You can provide at least one reference who can speak to your teaching style and professionalism.
