3DS has an immediate opening for a Paralegal in our Waltham, MA OR our San Diego, CA office with a hybrid work schedule offered.

A Paralegal team member supports all legal aspects of 3DS legal operations. The Paralegal serves internal clients of all 3DS organizations worldwide, across all engagement models, brands and industries by applying working knowledge of legal concepts, under the supervision of a lawyer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, interpret, draft and revise legal documents including policy documents, sales contracts, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, purchasing agreements, and other types of documents as required

  • Act as project manager for legal operations initiatives

  • Maintain working files, documents, and meticulous filing of all agreement and documents

  • Support legal operations and commercial transactions across a broad range of legal and administrative activities

  • Draft and issue contracts, legal documents, communications or reports as applicable

  • Manage contract request intake, template generation, and assignment/communication related to negotiation

  • Keep CLM system up to date on all contract activities, assist with other required updates

  • Maintain legal files and records, including comprehensive litigation and pre-litigation case files and trackers; maintain hard copies and e-documents

  • Conduct legal research related to applicable law or regulatory standards as assigned

  • Maintain orderly and comprehensive minutes and action log for selected meetings

  • Prepare and conduct training regarding legal concepts or company processes

  • Assist in the creation of legal presentations

  • Support all aspects of document discovery, including e-discovery, document management, the litigation hold process, and document production

  • Assist in-house and outside counsel with the coordination of responses to subpoenas and written discovery demands and litigation management

  • Act as coordinator for legal-related policy updates and related projects

Ability to travel 5-10% to other North American 3DS locations and internationally if required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience; Paralegal Certificate a plus

  • At least 2 years of legal experience at a large law firm or in an in-house legal department

  • Excellent communications skills in English; French skills a plus

  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail

  • Experience supporting litigation

  • Ability to work across multiple departments to improve/map processes

  • Strong integrity, ethics, logical with good judgment

  • Strong ability to learn and work under pressure, demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.

  • Highly organized with critical attention to detail

  • Strong functional use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint), Adobe and DocuSign, and the willingness to learn new information systems with ease

  • Strong general technology skills, quick adaptability to new technology

  • Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments

  • Team player, flexible to shifting priorities, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to work independently

  • Experience with project management and process engineering and mapping a plus
