Description

The Division Manager of Stamping and CNC Turret Punch Press leads the promotion and sales of advanced stamping presses and turret punch presses for Amada America, Inc. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, expanding market share, planning production requirements, and supporting the entire sales group. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with deep knowledge of metal forming technologies, proven sales expertise, and the ability to navigate complex B2B sales cycles. The Division Manager will focus on expanding market share, optimizing sales processes, developing educational and promotional material, training the sales force, and achieving annual sales targets through innovative strategies and strong team performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for stamping presses and turret punch presses, including market analysis, pricing models, and competitive positioning to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop all Amada sales representatives, providing training on product features, technical specifications, and sales techniques to improve performance and individual quotas.
  • Help to build and maintain key relationships with prospective and existing clients, conducting needs assessments, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure sales contracts and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and engineering teams to align sales efforts with existing and with new product launches, custom solutions, and industry trends in metal stamping and punching technologies.
  • Monitor sales metrics, pipeline health, and customer feedback using INFOR CRM tools to forecast and identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions for underperforming areas.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to recommend product enhancements or expansions, ensuring the division remains competitive in the industrial machinery sector.
  • Manage the division's budget, including sales incentives, travel expenses, and trade show participation, while optimizing resource allocation for maximum ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies related to equipment sales, installations, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct regular training and sales evaluations to identify and ensure appropriate sales progress, and foster a high-performance culture and drive motivation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote brand visibility and generate leads for stamping and turret punch press solutions.

  • Strong technical background and understanding of stamping and punching operations.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of tooling required for these machines.
  • Strong ability to communicate and train the Amada sales and appllications groups

KNOWLEDGE



  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years within the industrial machinery or manufacturing sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on stamping presses. And a minimum of some understanding of turret punch presses, or similar metal forming technologies.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of stamping press with some understanding of turret punch press operations, including servo-driven, hydraulic, mechanical, and CNC systems, fabrication processes, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record of achieving multi-million-dollar revenue targets, managing complex sales cycles, and closing high-value contracts in competitive markets.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate sales teams, with experience in performance management, talent development, and fostering a results-driven culture.
  • Strategic Acumen: Strong skills in market analysis, competitive intelligence, sales forecasting, and CRM systems (e.g., Infor, Salesforce, SAP); experience with pricing strategies and ROI optimization.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to engage with C-level executives, engineers, and procurement teams in manufacturing industries.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, using KPIs, sales analytics tools, and financial modeling to drive business growth.
  • Travel and Other Requirements: Willingness to travel at least 50% for client meetings, trade shows, and team support; valid driver's license and passport required.
  • Additional Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales enablement software; knowledge of ERP systems and industry-specific software is a plus.
