Job Description
  • Set up, adjust and operate a variety of direct mail equipment.
    • (i.e. inkjet and mailing devices including, tabbers, swing arm and vacuum pocket inserters with read write capability)
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines, such as cleaning and lubricating parts, to ensure safety and optimal performance
  • Must understand and adhere to all U.S. postal regulations and standards for mail preparation
  • Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machine
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status, production issues, and deadlines
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure mailings meet company standards for accuracy, image clarity, and proper assembly

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry operating different mailing equipment
  • Basic computer literacy to operate machine interfaces and software
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining mailing equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of the setup, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of mailing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing inserting and mailing requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided;
  • Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock
  • Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for mailing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machine marking on the printed materials
  • Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the mailing machines
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment
    • General knowledge of mailing machines (i.e. high-speed inkjet and mailing devices including, tabbers, swing arm and vacuum pocket inserters with read write capability)
  • May be asked to work in different departments due to the needs of the business
  • Must be able to work Overtime as a condition of employment - when needed

Additional Information

Pay range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00 per hour;

Theactual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
