The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Senior Director, Professional Practice for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote). Starting base salary = $138,000- $173,000- $208,000 (commensurate with related experience). A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location. www.aonl.org Position Purpose The Senior Director, Professional Practice is responsible for the leadership, development, and operations of professional practice programs, services and activities that contribute to meeting AONL mission and vision, and include AONL and interprofessional quality and safety initiatives, performance excellence work, among other initiatives. The position serves as AONL staff liaison to assigned nursing associations and supports select AONL and AHA committees and task forces, including the workforce committee. The position is responsible for oversight of the AONL Credentialing Center (CENP and CNML certifications), technology and innovation program administration and operations, and for development of transformational change leadership strategies. This position also provides leadership for research initiatives through the AONL Foundation. Essential Functions Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Masters of Nursing (required)
Experience
10 - 12 years: Minimum 10 years of nursing leadership experience.
Experience developing innovative educational programs, tools and resources as well as serving as educational faculty. Experience in oversight of a research program of study is preferred.
