The IT Director provides strategic and operational leadership for information technology within a mission-driven nonprofit foundation dedicated to supporting healthcare initiatives. This role is responsible for day-to-day IT operations, data management, CRM platforms, business intelligence, and infrastructure, ensuring technology aligns with the foundation's fundraising goals and organizational mission.

Duties & Responsibilities

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

Technology Leadership & Operations
* Lead and oversee IT operations, including systems, infrastructure, data security, and user access (e.g., VPN).
* Ensure reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT processes.
* Lead a foundation-wide technology assessment and develop a modernization roadmap.
* Align technology strategy with the organization's mission and fundraising objectives.

Systems & Platforms Management
* Manage core technology platforms, including Blackbaud, Power BI, SQL, and Azure.
* Oversee CRM, reporting, and business intelligence strategies to support donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.

Team Development & Culture
* Recruit, mentor, and develop IT staff.
* Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven culture.

Communication & Collaboration
* Communicate progress, risks, and strategies effectively to executives and leadership teams.
* Promote cross-departmental collaboration and align technology resources with organizational priorities.
* Support and promote the foundation's values and culture of "One Team, One Goal."

Minimum Qualifications

Education
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required

Required Experience
* A minimum of three years of progressive IT leadership experience with proven success managing teams and IT operations
* Background in nonprofit, foundation, or fundraising-focused environments strongly preferred
* Hands-on experience with Blackbaud, Power BI, SQL, and Azure
* Experience managing CRM, data, and BI strategies at an enterprise level

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage executives and staff
* Ability to translate technical requirements into business outcomes
* Process-driven, structured approach to problem solving and decision making

Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications in Blackbaud, CRM, Power BI, or SQL
* Experience leading technology assessments and organizational change initiatives

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $123,000.00 to $163,000.00
