Position Overview NIS is seeking an experiencedSenior Software AG Engineerto support a federal program in Lakewood, CO. The successful candidate will serve as a subject-matter expert in Software AG products and will be responsible for architecting, administering, and optimizing enterprise database solutions that support mission-critical applications for our government clients. This role is hybrid, offering the flexibility of remote work with occasional onsite support required in Lakewood, CO. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive database administration and architect duties across Software AG environments. Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure database solutions. Develop and support Natural applications through performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle maintenance. Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to integrate database solutions into enterprise systems. Establish and maintain database standards, documentation, and best practices. Monitor system performance and proactive implement improvements. Support compliance with federal security, data integrity, and availability requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline). Minimum10 years of hands-on experienceworking withSoftware AGtechnologies. Proficiency and expertise demonstrated with: ADABAS- database administration, design, and optimization Natural- programming, maintenance, and integration Strong background in database architecture, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Excellent communication skills and experience working on cross-functional teams. U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintainDoI Suitability. Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have) Experience supporting federal agencies or large-scale government IT programs. Familiarity with modernization efforts and integration with newer platforms and services. Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
