Job Summary:

Develops, implements and monitors marketing plans and strategies to achieve the overall business objectives of the organization. Identify and develop effective and productive marketing strategies for specific segments. Develop direct marketing plans and tactics across standard direct marketing channels (email, direct mail, MMS/SMS, app push, Telerecruitment). This includes developing copy and providing design direction, stewarding tactics through to operations handoff. Identifies or directs market research and potential brand enhancement opportunities to accomplish organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement direct marketing plans and strategies to engage current and acquire new blood donorsto support the organization's blood collections needs for sickle cell patients.
  • Maintain a daily understanding of production, assigned KPIs, and donor response rates, to understand when to pivot strategies and messaging to continue to meet needs.
  • Research, identify, and select the best direct marketing channels, messaging, and creative to continuously improve direct marketing campaign effectiveness in the marketplace that ensures engagement of key audiences to meet the need for sickle cell blood product collections.
  • Particular focus on B2C direct marketing (especially email and direct mail marketing).
  • Analyze tactical and programmatic performance to optimize content, offers, and tactics to meet desired blood donor engagement and ROI.
  • Will pivot quickly as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and implement effective and productive marketing strategies based on solid data analysis.
  • Leads and coordinates cross-functional teams for campaigns and strategies broader than core direct marketing responsibilities.
  • Lead the infrastructure, technical capabilities, and continuous improvement activities to achieve marketing goals.
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve complex problems.
  • Manage timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality production of marketing resources.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the sickle cell blood donor audience.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, adeptly and confidently lead meetings, provide report-outs, and ensure consistent coordination with all relevant parties.

Qualifications:

Education: 4-year college degree (Business, Marketing or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Minimum 7 to 10 years related experience required. Experience with marketing to diverse populations preferred.

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $110,000 /annually.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
