Acara Solution is looking for a Senior Advanced Digital Signal Processing Systems Engineer for our client in Ft. Wayne, IN.

  • Senior Advanced DSP Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop, and test DSP algorithms implemented in hardware and software for RF-based systems.
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced digital signal processing algorithms for real-time RF systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Translate system-level requirements into detailed DSP algorithm specifications and implementation plans.
  • Perform detailed system modeling, simulation, and analysis to validate algorithm performance under varying operational conditions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for algorithms, system designs, and testing procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in DSP algorithm efficiency, robustness, and scalability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system-level issues during integration and testing phases.
  • Support hardware-software co-design efforts, ensuring seamless integration of DSP algorithms into embedded platforms.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical discussions to provide expert input on DSP and system-level trade-offs.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to building a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for signal processing and RF systems.
  • Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, present technical findings, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, algorithms, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing Systems engineering.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience.
  • Statistical Signal Processing, Multi-rate Signal Processing, DSP for mitigating/processing RF effects.
  • Exceptional candidates have work experience of algorithm development for the statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements utilizing techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory
  • Signal processing architecture.
  • Algorithm development (RF Systems)
  • Systems requirements analysis
  • Performance verification and validation
  • Fixed point model conversion for hardware implementation
  • Software/hardware partitioning and trades
  • Hardware/software implementation collaboration
  • Hands-on system performance verification and validation in the lab
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing anti-jam systems with spatial beamforming-beam nulling. AJ implementation of GNSS and AltNav.
  • Knowledge of STAP, SFAP, or similar AJ algorithms. Must have experience developing a multi-channel anti jam algorithm from a mathematical perspective.
  • Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
  • Good presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.
