Acara Solutions is seeking a skilled RF Integration and Test Engineer to support a leading innovator in defense and advanced electronic systems located in Ft. Wayne, IN (Also available in Colorado Springs, Colorado)

Pay Rate: $51.59/hr
About the role: You'll be part of a cross-functional engineering group responsible for integrating and testing sophisticated hardware and software systems within the Smart Munitions program. This hands-on role blends RF engineering, system integration, and test development, ensuring precision and performance across complex defense platforms.
What you'll do:
  • Lead system integration, verification, and performance testing of RF and GPS/Navigation systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans, diagnostic programs, and test fixtures for advanced hardware and software.
  • Conduct functional, environmental, and operational testing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on requirements validation, design reviews, and performance analysis.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and document issues while driving technical solutions
  • Stay ahead of emerging RF and navigation technologies to support continuous innovation.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with object-oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proficient use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories related to RF and GPS/Navigation Systems.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with the SAFE Agile process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Good at multitasking.
  • Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Proficient ability to clearly report information relevant to sound test engineering.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
  • Proficient ability to promote concepts and ideas to a diverse audience.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
