The Solutions Architect (SA) is a member of the Project Engineering Electronic Security Systems (ESS) team and a primary contributor to the support of client design projects (primarily Access Control Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Intercom Systems, etc). The SA will provide support through the design project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to construction administration support. As the technical authority on a project team, you will be instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with support teams to bring your design to life. Through our groundbreaking workflow, you'll have access to incredible technology and tools to help you articulate and deliver your design while being supported by global resources. The SA reports directly to the Director of ESS Engineering. The DS will be supported and work with Senior Design Engineers and will maintain both primary and supportive roles on complex ESS projects through direction of the Director of ESS Engineering. Primary Responsibilities: Subject Matter Expert for Access Control Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Intercom Systems and how they typically interface with other low voltage systems and facility standard operating procedures. Negotiate changes in deliverables and schedules. May be required to lead a team on large projects. Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements Provide technical expertise on security systems and coordination information to support the architecture, installation and planning of electronic security solutions Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and MS Office 365 Ability to research and produce security related product submittals. Ability to learn and become proficient with ESS related programming matrixes, wiring diagrams, and various system topologies. Develop detailed 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC drawings. Oversee and/or develop the Bill of Materials (BOM) and support documentation. Research, identify, and recommend technology options for clients. SA may have client interaction and contribute to the P and L performance. Project lifecycle is important and learning the standards our clients are comfortable with is just as important as selling new technology and solutions where they fit. Theposition bears the responsibility to develop long-lasting client partnerships & work with team members to maintain the account at all levels. Maintains expertise in the industry through ongoing review of trade publications, participation in industry trade shows, seminars and educational forums. May author articles and/or analyze trends. Provides direction and counsel to junior personnel in engineering projects and guides issue resolution. Attend appropriate manufacture training(s), attend or lead lunch and learn and continue online education. Represent ESS Engineering in enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic discussions related to delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience 7+ years of experience in system design with at least 2+ years in ESS system design Detailed oriented, independent, self-starter Exceptional time management skills with a track record for meeting deadlines Excellent communication skills Ability to analyze complex issues and communicate concise succinct messages High level of problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in ESS system design High school diploma or GED required Associate or Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office 365 Certifications or training with Milestone, Lenel and Software House preferred Certifications or training with in Genetec, Avigilon and S2 preferred Ability to get a government issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only) A clear understanding of project phases Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Commissioning. A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the construction process, installation and integration as well as architectural and construction drawings and specifications. Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
