The Planner is responsible for assisting in setting up maintenance plans for new or relocated compressor equipment and associated midstream assets to minimize downtime, reduce the risk of equipment failures, and maximize operational efficiency. This role supports the creation of maintenance schedules for the gas control and maintenance teams, coordinates with Gas Control, Midstream Operations, and vendors to synchronize activities and avoid unnecessary downtime, and ensures jobs are properly closed. The Planner documents all maintenance activities in the system, prepares SAP PM notifications and work orders for minor compressor and facility maintenance, manages inventory for field connexes, and processes Management of Change (MOC) requests. The role also works closely with Master Data Maintainers (MDM) to ensure all equipment is accurately reflected in SAP and the DSC Portal. Additionally, the role performs basic tasks around maintenance plan scheduling or maintenance with close supervision and develops foundational skills and awareness in safety practices and midstream operations. The Planner reviews tasks, SOWs, and programs to ensure proper risk ranking from a Safety, Environmental, Regulatory, and Operational perspective, evaluates the work proposed (including required personnel and equipment), and supports midstream analysis and report building by interpreting raw data and generating actionable reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in setting up maintenance plans (procedures and schedules) for new or relocated compressor units and midstream equipment to minimize downtime, reduce risk of equipment failures, and maximize efficiency while adhering to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Supports creation of maintenance schedules for the gas control and maintenance teams, including reviewing compressor performance data and adjusting schedules to optimize resource allocation and prioritize critical tasks.
  • Prepares SAP PM notifications and work orders for minor compressor and facility maintenance (e.g., filter changes, oil analysis, valve inspections, vibration checks, routine regulatory testing).
  • Coordinates with Gas Control, Midstream Operations, and vendors to synchronize activities, avoid maintenance downtime, follow up on job completion, and ensure EHS compliance.
  • Manages inventory for field connexes, ensuring critical parts and materials are available to support maintenance activities.
  • Processes Management of Change (MOC) requests, ensuring all changes to equipment, procedures, or operations are properly documented and approved.
  • Works closely with Master Data Maintainers (MDM) to ensure all equipment is accurately reflected in SAP and the DSC Portal.
  • Documents all maintenance activities in the system, including detailed work orders, maintenance history, SOPs, manuals, guidelines, costs, inspections, and test results.
  • Performs basic tasks around maintenance plan scheduling or maintenance with close supervision, focusing on developing foundational skills and awareness in safety practices and midstream operations.
  • Receives training in fundamental areas such as preparing work orders and developing maintenance schedules for compressor stations and related assets.
  • Supports midstream analysis and report building by interpreting raw data and generating actionable reports for leadership and operations teams.
  • Prioritizes and organizes basic assignments under direct guidance, actively participating in the learning process.
