Summary:

This role will serve as a strategic business partner and technology leader responsible for the governance, delivery, and optimization of ERP systems across the enterprise. This role ensures that ERP platforms align with business goals, support operational efficiency, and enable scalable growth. The Director will manage vendor relationships, lead upgrades and regression testing, and drive change management initiatives.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the ERP business partner across departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial Operations.
  • Translate business needs into ERP capabilities and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Lead ERP transformation initiatives including cloud migration, vendor selection, and implementation planning.

Governance & Operations

  • Oversee ERP system architecture, infrastructure, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage service provider relationships and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Organize and execute system upgrades, regression testing, and release management.

Delivery & Support

  • Supervise internal and external resources supporting ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, and Expandable.
  • Resolve system issues, monitor performance, and ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable ERP solutions.

Change Management & Communication

  • Act as a business communicator and change agent to promote ERP adoption.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation and lead stakeholder engagement during ERP rollouts.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical methods and models
  • Knowledge of clinical terms, clinical study designs and the drug and/or device approval process
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and SAP technical execution
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This person has supervisory responsibility.

Interaction:

The incumbent works closely with IT management and staff, employees, and external vendors and consultants.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of ERP experience, including configuration, implementation, and support required
  • Proven leadership in ERP transformation and vendor management required
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, or Expandable ERP systems
  • Proven success in leading SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud implementations across manufacturing and supply chain-intensive organizations, including at least 2 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations required
  • Deep functional knowledge in SAP modules such as Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance required
  • SAP certifications preferred

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $171,000 per year to 230,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
