Overview Johnson County, Kansas Government is seeking a creative, collaborative, and innovative professional to serve as the Human Resources Business Partner Team Lead (Manager IV). The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Team Lead works collaboratively with executive management to provide leadership, direction and expert guidance to a team of HR professionals serving a defined portfolio of Departments/Agencies/Offices (DAOs), ensuring strategic, consistent, high-quality HR consultation to ensure organizational effectiveness and DAO operational outcomes aligned with people initiatives across the organization. This role functions in an on-site work schedule with at least 4 days in office. First review of candidates will begin on October 29th. Position will remain open until filled. Job Description Key Responsibilities: * Supervises, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners, providing guidance, coaching, and support for their professional growth. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a relevant field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources at a professional level, including a minimum of two (2) years leading, directing, and supervising the work of others are required. Professional HR Certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) or the willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire. Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a relevant field is preferred. Previous public sector experience encouraged but not required. Education can substitute for experience; experience can substitute for education. |
