Position Summary/Department Summary: Temporary part-time social work position (20 hrs.) needed for our Adolescent Weight Loss Surgery Program. Looking for medical leave coverage from January 2026-July 2026. Will work in tandem with a second social work provider in the program. Additional hours may be available in other programs. Following completion of this leave, there may be opportunities for transition to a different role within the department. Key Responsibilities: Providing a broad range of clinical social work services to adolescents and their families. Providing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, short term focused counseling, and psychoeducation Facilitation of use of hospital and community resources, and psychosocial consultation to medical team Minimum Qualifications Education: Master's degree in social work Experience: Minimum of several years of social work experience in a medical environment highly preferred. Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills necessary. Licensure/Certification: LICSW Social Work licensure in the state of Massachusetts Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-5 4 hours on Fridays, typically 8-12. The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
