OverviewMicrosoft Cloud Operations and Infrastructure (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Director of Global Data Center Engineering Strategy to help build future generations of the network that powers the world's largest online services. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Microsoft's data center designs and strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data center design, construction, and operations, along with a proven ability to turn strategic vision into actionable outcomes. Responsibilities include developing strategic vision for data center infrastructure that prioritize safety-in-design, availability, scalability, fungibility, and cost efficiency. The individual will collaborate closely with upstream stakeholders and partner teams to refine design requirements and lead the CO+I Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEED programs, driving innovative solutions that align with Microsoft's sustainability goals. ResponsibilitiesLead a team of discipline-specific Subject Matter Experts.Develop new innovations in data center topologies.Present and socialize new concepts across partner teams at the company.Work directly with GDCE Technical Governance team providing inputs into new Basis of Design documentation (BoDs) providing documentation for BoD update through Global POR Change Management process. | |
