Quality Lab Technician IV Position Description:
- Prepares samples for analysis/examination and carries out a diversified range of metrological services.
- Performs mechanical tests on specialized equipment, such as hardness testing, tension, tensile, resistivity, etc.
- Performs dimensional and magnetic tests as required to evaluate product quality performance.
- Prepares and submits customer-required dimensional reports in accordance with AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
- Collects and records test data obtained during product quality evaluation.
- Makes recommendations to site leadership based on recorded test data.
- Responsible for tasks related to directing, training, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Met Lab.
- Participates in the product development process where it involves measurement methodology and dimensional requirements.
- Facilitates the movement of products into and out of the Met Lab.
- Facilitates the completion of quality tests and relevant training requirements.
- Participates in and contributes to quality audits, both customer and internal.
- Participates in site improvement projects.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirement: Education and/or Training:
- High School diploma required.
Relevant Work Experience:
- Five or more years of relevant experience.
