MAINTENANCE CUSTODIAN - SHOP Kress is looking for a full time Maintenance Custodian to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The Maintenance Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in the manufacturing shop area. This position performs routine cleaning, light maintenance, and sanitation duties throughout the facility. Responsibilities - Perform daily cleaning of production and assembly areas Maintain cleanliness around heavy equipment and workstations without disrupting operations Ability to operate a forklift and a floor sweeper in a manufacturing environment Collect and properly dispose of industrial waste and recyclables Assist in maintaining stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies Outside tasks to include, sweeping, painting, cleaning gutters, lawn care, etc... Work closely with maintenance staff to support plant projects and facility needs Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years prior custodial or maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting Trained and certified (or able to become certified) to operate a forklift Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures Must be comfortable working in and out of the elements; depending on the season Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Kress Benefits - Group Health Insurance including Prescriptions Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Vacation Paid Holidays
