**$1,000 Sign on Bonus**

$500 paid at 6 months of employment, $500 paid at 1 year of employment. Must be an active employee at time of payout to collect the bonus.

Join our team at Terex Utilities and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated FAI Coordinator to contribute to the Terex team in Watertown, SD.

As the First Article Inspection (FAI) Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring that newly designed or revised components and assemblies meet all specified requirements before production release. You will manage the coordination, documentation, and execution of the FAI process in accordance with internal procedures and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and lead all First Article Inspections for new or modified parts, assemblies, and products.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders to determine inspection requirements.
  • Create and maintain FAI documentation packages, including dimensional reports, material certifications, and inspection records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain) to gather required data and ensure timely execution of FAIs.
  • Perform or coordinate dimensional and visual inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and optical comparators.
  • Maintain FAI database, logs, and records to ensure traceability and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conforming first articles.
  • Communicate FAI status and issues to stakeholders and support production release processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned

What you'll bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or inspection roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of FAI processes.
  • Experience with standard inspection tools and techniques.

The compensation range for this position is $22-23.50 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
