Job Description: Assistant Parts Operations Manager Position Overview: Reporting to the Parts Operations Manager, this position plays a key leadership role, responsiblefor assisting in the management of Parts warehousing and transportation functions at our North Bend warehouse site.This role continuously collaborates with in-house personnel and offers guidance to improve overall operational performance and compliance. What you'll do Key Responsibilities
- Manage teams to deliver superior, industry-leading Operations and Transportation performance based on a comprehensive KPI system. This includes the warehouse in- & outbound performance to standard, warehouse quality in terms of bin denials and warehouse errors and transportation performance
- Drive operational improvements in terms of Quality/ 5s in the Southaven warehouse operations
- Execute operational audits in line with Terex requirements for inbound, outbound, storage and transportation processes as part of the performance monitoring and ensure that corrective actions are taken and communicated immediately.
- Monitor transportation performance and services as well as offer appropriate group corrective actions.
- Assist in the management and delivery on the committed Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Budget SG&A and transportation cost targets i.e. Warehouse & Transportation Cost.
- Ensure that Terex health and safety policies and procedures are followed in line with the Terex programs and values.
- Ensure that all Terex HR, Ethics and compliance policies and procedures are known, applied and followed by site staff.
- Seamlessly collaborate with the other functional teams in Parts, specifically the inventory planning and procurement teams as well as the sales teams, to maximize the customer service experience out of Southaven and support the Parts Business results in terms of customer service and financial return.
- Seamlessly collaborate with the all team members in various departments within Genie.
What you'll bring Basic qualifications
- 4 year college degree in Supply Chaing Logistic, Business, or Engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing large warehouse operations.
- Experience of ERP/MRP systems, particularly Oracle would be preferable.
- Demonstrated experience leading, training, developing and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders and hold team members accountable.
- Flexible and able to work extra hours on a daily basis if needed and with short notice as production requires
- Proven ability to construct and manage manufacturing process in accordance with accepted Standard Work elements, quality standards and Systems, JIT practices, and Lean Manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage annual and monthly budgets
- General knowledge of OSHA/WISHA safety standards and implementation of ergonomic principles
- Proven track record of project management skills
- Strong skill set using PC and software programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienceworking in complex in-house operations
- Knowledge in hazardous material handling and shipping, transportation laws and product packing desirable
- Effective project management skills
- Experience in Warehouse & Transportation process enhancements and standardization
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and flexible team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis and process improvements)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines
- Experienced in operating sit down/stand up forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Requires the ability to lift, pull, push, and guide medium weight objects up to 50 lbs.
