Job Summary The Apprentice Mechanic supports maintenance operations by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal safety, functionality, and efficiency. This role involves hands-on mechanical work, learning and demonstrating competency in troubleshooting and repairing process equipment, and completing assigned maintenance tasks within established timeframes. The position provides opportunities for skill development and advancement through structured training programs. Job Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance and repair tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues under supervision. Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance activities. Learn and apply mechanical and technical skills to progress through training and certification programs. Complete assigned work orders accurately and within the designated time limits. Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in clean and safe condition. Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to safely operate power tools, hand tools, drill presses, and other shop equipment. Proficient in reading and interpreting documents in English. Able to use various communication methods effectively. Basic computer literacy, including the use of a notebook computer and standard office equipment. Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, and perform repetitive hand motions regularly. Capable of climbing stairs and moving between multiple levels in a plant environment. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack/unstack materials, and work for prolonged periods while standing or stooping. Additional Job Details Work is performed in a climate-controlled production environment with exposure to operational machinery and equipment. Adherence to all safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. #ZR
