Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding and fabrication work on various metal components, including spool pieces and flanges. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety and quality standards. The Welder will inspect completed work for accuracy and defects, ensure proper alignment and measurements, and maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate NAP (Universal Welder) equipment to perform MIG welding tasks on carbon steel pipe and related components.
  • Weld outlets, spool pieces, and flanges according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed welds for alignment, defects, and proper groove depth.
  • Verify accuracy of measurements using a tape measure and ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Identify and report defects such as bad seams, splits, or other irregularities in materials.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company safety procedures.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns requiring maintenance or repair.
  • Utilize computer systems for documentation, training, and communication as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.


Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and technical drawings.
  • Minimum of one year of computer experience, including Outlook and email use.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic reading, writing, and computer literacy (training provided through online platforms such as Workday).


Additional Job Details (Testing, Safety, and Other Requirements)

  • All welds will be performed using the MIG process.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a weld test as part of the interview process.
  • Applicants must bring a welding hood and appropriate PPE for the test.
  • Weld test and interview sessions require a minimum of two hours on-site.
  • Adherence to all company safety and quality standards is mandatory.
