Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the first point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism, compassion, and care. This role is responsible for performing accurate, high-quality blood collections and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established safety and procedural standards. The PSR I fosters a supportive environment where patients feel informed and comfortable and ensures that confidentiality and data accuracy are maintained at all times. This position works under the supervision of the area supervisor and contributes to the organization's focus on process excellence and patient satisfaction. Job Responsibilities
Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on schedule under the supervision of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment in compliance with all safety and infection control procedures.
Collect both forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures.
Verify patient identification and ensure all specimens are accurately labeled and documented.
Maintain required records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication skills in all patient and client interactions.
Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and coworkers.
Support training and continuous improvement initiatives as directed.
Job Requirements
Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Reliable and professional work habits with a commitment to punctuality.
Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required; one or more years preferred.
Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
Keyboarding and data entry experience required.

Work location: Florida (specific site to be confirmed).
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; rotating Saturdays, 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).
Candidates must have reliable personal transportation; public or rideshare options (e.g., bus, Uber) are not considered reliable for this role.
Candidates must reside within a 20-25 minute commute of the assigned worksite.
Consistent and punctual attendance is required. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
Rate of pay is based on years of directly related experience as documented on the resume (overlapping roles are not counted twice).
