Job Description:

About the Role:
Are you passionate about leading high-performing technical teams and driving customer success? Microchip Technology is seeking an experienced and dynamic FAE Manager to lead our talented Field Application Engineers in the heart of Silicon Valley. In this pivotal role, you will shape the technical engagement strategy, foster innovation, and play a key part in expanding Microchip's footprint in cutting-edge markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Application Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Customer Support: Oversee technical support activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex customer issues and delivering exceptional service.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs, propose innovative solutions, and drive design wins using Microchip's industry-leading products.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand Microchip's presence in key accounts and target markets, contributing to business growth.
  • Product Influence: Coordinate with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback, influence product development, and ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Technical Enablement: Organize and deliver technical training, seminars, and workshops for customers and internal teams to enhance product knowledge and application expertise.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Customer Engagement: Prepare and present technical proposals, demonstrations, and documentation to customers, showcasing the value of Microchip solutions.
  • Travel: Travel as required to support customer engagements, team activities, and industry events.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 7+ years of experience in Field Application Engineering or technical customer-facing roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and semiconductor solutions.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing technical teams.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated success in driving design wins and building strong customer relationships.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

25% - 50%

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $103,000-$240,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
