Job Summary The QA/QC Support Specialist supports data quality assurance and testing efforts for the Gas division of the eGIS project. This role focuses on validating, analyzing, and enhancing the integrity of migrated mapping data within Schneider's ArcFM and ESRI GIS platforms. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid work environment. Two contract positions are available. Job Responsibilities Perform spatial and attribute data validation for legacy Gas mapping data migrated to ESRI systems. Conduct spatial queries and analyses to ensure accurate connectivity and representation of Gas infrastructure components. Review and correct land base symmetry, topology, and structure connectivity issues. Update, refine, and standardize map symbology according to project requirements. Execute functional testing of new mapping tools to verify performance and accuracy. Maintain organized tracking of data review progress using Excel and other management tools. Prioritize workload and manage timelines to meet project milestones. Support system integration, data migration, and quality initiatives within the eGIS environment. Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and project managers to resolve data discrepancies and system issues. Assist with documentation and reporting of test outcomes, data issues, and quality improvements. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with ESRI ArcMap. Proficiency in MXD creation, spatial queries, and spatial analysis techniques. Strong understanding of GIS principles, data management, and ESRI platform tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Schneider's ArcFM platform. Familiarity with utility mapping systems, particularly for Gas infrastructure. Experience supporting GIS-related software implementation projects, including configuration, testing, and deployment. Exposure to project tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or MS Project. Knowledge of IT project management principles, data quality assurance, and system integration processes. Understanding of change management and user support during technology rollouts or upgrades. Expected Outcomes Develop a working knowledge of the eGIS project and associated mapping systems. Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues effectively. Support continuous improvement in mapping accuracy, data validation processes, and tool functionality. Additional Job Details (COVID, Commute, Attendance, etc.) Work location: Hybrid - 4 days onsite in Temecula, CA; 1 day remote. Pay range: $45-$50 per hour. COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position. This role is not eligible for fully remote work. Consistent attendance and adherence to project schedules are required to meet deliverable timelines.
