Teacher Assisitant Opportunity-

The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school serving students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. The teacher assistant will assist classroom teacher in the academic process that includes assisting in management of the classroom environment under the teacher's leadership. Acts as a positive role model for students.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age. Sixty hours of college credit or a Paraprofessioanl certificate is required.
  • One-year experience with students identified as Socially/Emotionally disturbed is perferred.
  • Bachelor degree is a plus.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Projects a positive image of The Pavilion by being courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional in relationships with patients/residents/students, visitors and co-workers.
  2. Assures compliance with federal, state, and organizational confidentiality regulations.
  3. Responds to a "Support Code" in a therapeutic, appropriate manner as prescribed in the annual TCI inservice.
  4. Maintains OSHA, CPR and TCI inservice and other required education.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.
