Our Finance Team in Corporate Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join them!

As the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager, you will work cross-functionally, and across Moog sites to help transform how finance and accounting tributes to the organization.

You will work a hybrid work schedule (at least four days in-office) at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for the Accounts Payable Manager, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Typically, a Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance related field)

  • Over 10 years of experience in area of Accounts Payable, with a minimum of six (6) years' progressive managerial oversight.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must be good at listening, giving and receiving feedback, asking questions, and seeking clarification.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.

  • Experience working in a Finance Shared Services environment is preferable.

  • Strong working knowledge of core finance and accounting business processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, etc.) and comfort with Tier 1 ERP systems (Oracle or SAP). Experience with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and/or AP Automation solutions (e.g., Concur, OpenText, OnBase) is desired.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work on-site; relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity.

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for...

Core Operations

  • The management and oversight of all AP operations across four ERP platforms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of invoices and payments

  • Ensuring day-to-day activities of AP operations meet daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly expectations

  • Serving as the escalation point for complex vendor issues

  • Collaboration with Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

  • Standardization of invoice-to-pay processes for all operating groups

  • Development of the future state for the business shared services function

Team / People Management

  • Providing guidance to AP Leads who coordinate day-to-day activities

  • Fostering relationships with stakeholders from the Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, and adjacent functions

  • Being highly visible to staff members by providing coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to Process Leads and Process Analysts

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team, inclusive of performance management and outcomes

Strategy and Compliance

  • Coordinating of month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Organization and delivery of internal and external audit requests as necessary

  • Compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements

  • Consistent AP policies, procedures, and controls are applied across all ERP systems and entities

  • AP performance metrics across each ERP to identify and implement process efficiencies

  • The partnership with IT and project teams for ERP enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $125,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
